Ahoi
Hi everyone, I'm Hella.

I've been playing tabletop roleplaying games for a good long time, roleplaying without the game even longer. I've been mostly unable to find anything ongoing other than 5E, which isn't bad per se, but I'd love to branch out away from the higher fantasy style into more of a historical or pseudo historical style, though I also have a huge guilty pleasure for any Howard inspired sword and sorcery fare! I'm interested in the more old school roleplaying styles I feel I've missed out on too, which I suspect is common to a lot of people eying up OSR games.

I've never really gotten to try my hand at play by post, even though I am far more comfortable with written roleplay, and I've recently discovered this wonderful resource of a site to hopefully get going!

Hope to get rolling with you cool characters soon!

Howdy..this is the best site out there..your  main page has everything you need, once you get used to seeing where they are placed.

 in game  pages have everything in one place..GMs  can make as many threads as  needed  and Die  roller is  really handy ( and includes  system  dice set ups as well)

 check out  'wanted players'  for games you might like, PM the  GM/DM  and  see how it goes... one page access, no hunting  around. and you game  will leep all the threads   within itseself...Character sheets  are there for each game, so you never lose them...

Welcome to RPol, you'll find anything you want here and so many great games from freeform to about any system game you like.  It is easy to be a GM or a Player here.

A few tips for you are below:-

Make sure you turn on your rmail by going to the link at the top that is User preferences, there you will find some settings to play around with including the rmail one as that is how you and most GMs can talk.

On the main menu there are two forums you can find what you want to play in

Wanted: players At the top there is a link that is 'Search Games' and when you click on those words it gives you a more distinct search area for what you are looking for.

Wanted: GMs where you can make a post describing the type of games you are looking for and GMs check there for new players sometimes.

At the bottom of the main menu you will also find search link to find games and other good stuff.

So all I can say now is
