I'm new here, though not new to RPGs. I run real time games on Roll20 and Astral and sometimes other sites. Time constraints due to having to renovate an old house and fix the garden and so on do not permit me to take many hours a week to sit in front of the computer, and most of the time, when I get in from the garden or am done with paining and repairing, I'm way too tired to run any games for hours straight. I take a lot of breaks though in which I can post so here I am. The site was suggested to me by a niece who used to play on here. Unfortunately, she does not remember which name or email she used but as far as I know, this was ages ago anyway.

I used to do post by post RPGs way back in the 90s, then went to chat play and eventually graduated to Teamspeak. I think I can find my way back to the old ways easily enough. I'm planning to run a handful of games with a few (1-3) quick posting players. Other than that I will probably not participate much in the community because once I start reading forums,time runs away from me and I find I have spent hours I normally can't afford to spend online right now.

I'm mostly into Pathfinder 1e, Splittermond (a German RPG) and Shadowrun 5, but Ialso run a dozen+ more worlds, just usually not with their intended Systems. I prefer story over powergaming, rules are there to be adapted and I can run Faerun, Greyhawk, Finsterland or any other setting I have with a simple FATE/D20 mix system while staying true to the world. I also run story games based on images.

Howdy...check  'wanted-Players  ' thread, for game you want to play in, Once you get some  posting in and learn your way around the site, you can  start a game of your own.

 everything is on the main page  for you, when you run a game, everything you need is on the the page for that game...You can set up threads, post maps witht he map link and target it for  groups in your game.

 and?  never be afraid to ask questions.... there is a rMail you can comntact folks with, and you are always able to PM them, if you are on thier game .

Thanks. Yeah I'll set up a game in a moment just to see how it will look. I'm the ever-GM and hardly play because I have too many ideas and too little time but who knows :-)

 Hello and welcome to RPol, you'll find anything you want here and so many great games from freeform to about any system game you like.  It is easy to be a GM or a Player here.

A few tips for you are below:-

Make sure you turn on your rmail by going to the link at the top that is User preferences, there you will find some settings to play around with including the rmail one as that is how you and most GMs can talk.

On the main menu there are two forums you can find what you want to play in

Wanted: players At the top there is a link that is 'Search Games' and when you click on those words it gives you a more distinct search area for what you are looking for.

Wanted: GMs where you can make a post describing the type of games you are looking for and GMs check there for new players sometimes.

At the bottom of the main menu you will also find search link to find games and other good stuff.
