Hello, very noob player here

Howdy... this is  the best site  for PBP out here. The main page has  anything you need ( diceroller..a 'sticky' list of the games you run   and play in.)

once you look over the main page , you will see 'wanted players' thread, where  GMs post for thier  games.
each game has PMs, dicerollers, and GM set up as many threads need to provide a good gaming  environment.

don't be afraid to ask questions.

Hello, very noob player here

Role Playing Game covers a wide variety of different settings and rule systems in which players take on the "roles" of characters in a fictional setting, acting out these roles within a narrative. Actions often are judged to succeed or fail based on a system of rules. These rules can range from loose suggestions, as in free form collective narratives, to highly-structured and very technical systems.

There is usually a "game master" or GM who sets the narrative boundaries and judges the success/failure within the rules systems. Literally hundreds of rules systems have developed singe the debut of Dungeons and Dragons in the mid 1970s. Most cover a specific fictional genre or style.

Hello, very noob player here

Hello and welcome to RPol, you'll find anything you want here and so many great games from freeform to about any system game you like.  It is easy to be a GM or a Player here.

As for beginner friendly games they are not broken down like that so you need to know what kind of game you are looking for.  i.e. a system game like DnD (other system games are available) or freeform creative writing.  You should find that most GMs in games are beginner friendly.  Find the game you are interested in and do an RTJ (request to join) to that game and this opens a PM between you and the GM or Game Owner where you can talk and work things out.  This is to me the easiest site on the internet to roleplay games of many many various kinds.

The site faqs page, https://r.rpol.net/help/?t=faqs is a great help too!

A few tips for you are below:-

Make sure you turn on your rmail by going to the link at the top that is User preferences, there you will find some settings to play around with including the rmail one as that is how you and most GMs can talk.

On the main menu there are two forums you can find what you want to play in

Wanted: players At the top there is a link that is 'Search Games' and when you click on those words it gives you a more distinct search area for what you are looking for.

Wanted: GMs where you can make a post describing the type of games you are looking for and GMs check there for new players sometimes.

At the bottom of the main menu you will also find search link to find games and other good stuff.

So all I can say now is

HAPPY GAMING!!
