RIP Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

The UK has lost a true Prince, he was loved by some, disliked by some.  He stood beside our Queen for her full Reign.  As any family member, he will be missed by family, friends and public.  Though a bit of a rascal he did MANY great things for charity in his life.  REST IN PEACE Prince Phillip

RIP Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

Thankfully, my spouse warned me this morning instead of reading it for myself. I am not ashamed to admit that I bawled like a baby at the news. Philip was always my favorite member of the royal family, and they are the poorer for losing him. My favorite quote this morning about his life of devotion to Elizabeth and the public is: “It’s the customer that needs to be satisfied, not me. I don’t do it for my own amusement.” I think that sums him up perfectly.

...something I wish some certain other members of the younger royal family understood at all.

i didn't  follow  the Royals like some folks do... I do like Kate... I like  harry and his spouse...but i know folks  over there are wrapped up in those   people, and i do wish them  help to get over thier loss.

Unlike  the folks we had her the past few years, England's  People were always classy, and never Buffoons.

As for Phillip, 99 years old. Hoof. I was just reading up on why he was never King Philip and it is interesting all the rules and reasons. So the wife of a King becomes the king constort but the husband of a Queen becomes the Prince consort. He also had to give up his own royal titles to marry Elizabeth but was then made a British Prince anyway.

RIP Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

It's complicated LOL  and being a Native American Citizen (Cherokee) living in Scotland and now a British Citizen I have a lot to get my head around when it comes to Royalty, I am not what one would call a Royalist but I do love the Queen and think she is one outstanding lady with all that she has done and lived through.  Prince Phillip was always right at her side supporting her as well as the good things he has done on his own.  Hmmm liking Wiliam, Harry, and their families I guess I could be called a Royalist but my fave Queen is Mary Queen of Scots.  It is ALL interesting and how far back the history goes on this wee island is very interesting through time.
