Hey folks, I have once again come across the issue of creating a character for this site, only to have a very limited selection of portraits to choose from. This really wouldn't be a bother to me if the portraits weren't so overwhelmingly white and male. I'd love to find a way to incorporate more diverse portrait pics without spamming the site.

What I'd love to offer is, if you have a picture of a person of color you would like for your character(s), but don't know how to cut the size down, send me the link to the picture and I will be happy to edit it down for you to exactly or as close as possible to site requirement. I'll then send it back to you so that you can send it yourself to the portrait crew here.

Breaking it down:

1) Submit link to pic to my PM (or post in this thread)
2) Will edit to proper submission format
3) Will send back to you for your character
4) You send to portrait team

Let me also reiterate the rule being that you can submit no more than one portrait per "portrait cycle", and only for the character that you're playing.

I was hoping that by volunteering this service, it would cut down on RPOL staff needing to thread through multiple pictures to edit down, removing some of the bottle neck issues. I hope to also encourage more individuals to invest in submitting portraits for people of color.

Imagine; we might get something like 1 pic of a black woman with an afro, a full page of "hispanic males" or even more than 12 "middle eastern males" and where half of them are not white! XD

Truly I'd love to find more inclusive representation for the players and DMs that want more diverse casts. I really hope this helps!

Here are almost 70 images cut to a box size. RPOL standard is 100x100 but I left them at 300-500 a side so that someone can decide to keep it as is or zoom in a bit on the face for more details.

This is a much needed effort - I'll try to contribute. I remember having to struggle with portraits when my Call of Cthulhu game moved to Egypt, and then wondering what I'd do when the game moved to Kenya.
