Died 7-19-2019 he was 75.
Died at home of an undisclosed illness.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

The original Blade Runner is a timeless classic.   It was one of my mom's very favorite movies.

What's almost a little eerie, is that Blade Runner is set in 2019.   Which means, Rutger Hauer passed away the very same year his replicant character, Roy Batty, did.

I can't help but think of Batty's last scene, where his life runs out, and he releases the dove. Such a profound scene, on several levels.   I understand setting the dove free was actually Rutger Hauer's idea.      RIP.

his  work in  Flesh and Blood  was a  good  character  study, of  a Medievil Merc  group  and a   rich young  chick, playing them against each other.
