Carmina Bell

Twenty-two-year-old Carmina inherited her comely looks from her Spanish mother.  Her hair is dark brown, thick and lustrous, and her dark eyes are flecked with gold. Her nose she received from her grandmother: long, straight and authoritative.  Her skin has a hint of olive, but is still light; however, under the sun it will darken considerably without burning.

The lady dresses well, befitting of her station as the eldest daughter of a wealthy businessman.  She favours dark colours, particularly red and blue, but is also quite fond of white.  There is nothing flashy about her jewellery, for she has little interests in such adornment, preferring to save her money rather than spend it on trinkets.

If one were to first meet Carmina in her family's apothecary shop, one might think she is quiet and studious, for she rarely takes a break from her work and can sometimes become so absorbed that customers must cough politely to snatch her attention.  Once her regard is secured, it becomes apparent that Carmina is extremely observant: her eyes inspect anyone she speaks to politely but thoroughly and she is always aware of her surroundings.

When she speaks, usually with a dazzling smile, Carmina reveals herself to be quite a lively, friendly young woman.  Indeed, she is positively gregarious, which has won her quite a few friends and suitors over the years.  Her grasp of etiquette is impressive and she rarely trips over her tongue.

Though she is a very hard worker and utterly devoted to the family business, Carmina has an adventurous spirit.  She is known to do rather foolish things on her time off, such as hiding in bushes to spy on visiting nobles, soliciting sword lessons from the local boys or putting on tatty clothes and pretending to be someone else for the thrill.  More than anything, the brunette longs for a life of excitement.  She would be more than happy to settle down and take over the family business one day in the far off future, but for the nonce she is restless.
