Argentiax

The silver dragon that ruled over the Flumina Divide before being betrayed and driven into exile. While he did much to resolve the problems of the region, his methods could be extreme and his scheming eventually dragged the region back into war.

Argentiax would often be described as cool and haughty, and it was said that he rarely smiled. He did not hide his condescension towards humanity, especially when annoyed. (He didn’t seem to have the highest respect for his brethren either though.) He could, however, acknowledge that individuals often had specific expertise beyond his own, and regularly consulted such people. Some noted a sense of curiosity and inquisitiveness from the dragon.

Argentiax often looked at the big picture and didn’t sweat the little details, which were often people. Maybe it was just a matter of cold numbers, more likely it was apathy. Though not necessarily close minded, he did not suffer insults well nor people that stood in the way of his goals. The threat of violence was ever looming, and more than once made good on. Argentiax was not above indulging in his sometimes expensive and wasteful tastes, be that fine, massive dishes or collections of trinkets that sat in his hoard. The notion to preserve public popularity did little to temper these vices.

Argentiax was ambushed while touring northern Flumina. Heavy ballistas had been set up on high and covered, and hooked nets, ropes and weaponry were hidden in nearby buildings. One bolt struck the dragon right in the bone of the wing, and in the ensuing battle the entire wing was torn free and one of his front arms was hacked off. His escort managed to free him, then, still under pursuit, the group fled to the docks and boarded the nearest boat. Haphazard pursuit continued out to sea but eventually the vessel was lost.

Argentiax was known to be able to polymorph into a humanoid draconic body. What other magics he was capable of are not widely known.
