I am having issues with attaching an image to my posts in the past I housed the image on my gmail account and copied the link which I embedded into my posts. Now something's changed the addresses are suddenly over 84 consecutive characters long and I get a error whenever I embed the address. How do I fix this or is there somewhere else I can host my images and still embed the links? Or am I just doing it wrong?

you don't need to change the host, but there are a number of web address shorteners that refer back to the original URL.

What steelsmiter suggest:
Instead of changing your all of your method, you go to a web shortener like https://goo.gl/ and paste your link there. You copy the new link that should be short enough to not cause error.
