Odd Behavior

In one of the groups I'm in we've seen something strange happen. In one thread it looks like after one person posted all the following posts changed fundamental formatting stuff. The whole box on the left got spread across the page with the rest of the post beneath it, and the gray background disappeared. It looks like all left alignment turned into center alignment and the separation between cells became horizontal instead of vertical. This behavior continued once is started. Should I rMail a link to the thread to the moderators? I'm not sure about posting a link to a game here, especially since I'm not the GM, just trying to help figure out what happened and maybe catch a bug.

Odd Behavior

It sounds to be like the poster has not correctly formatted their message.

RPoL is quite strict in so far that it'll make sure that most opening RuBB codes have a matching close, e.g. <b> also has </b> somewhere after it.

Someone can, however, post something like [pre]blah blah[Private to someone: stuff others can't see[/pre]]

People who can see the PL, including the poster, sees everything as fine, however the other recipients do not see the closing [/pre] as it's within the private line.  Doing this with tables can cause havoc.

I'd suggest you get whoever who posted the message where everything started to go wonky to check their message.

Odd Behavior

GM just found a fix, but it's odd. All the GM did was move the terminating ] on the private to GM down to a new line.

What you said makes a lot of sense (and I'm used to far stricter, so I get it), but I don't know how to reconcile that with just moving the ] down a line. I would have figured the GM would have moved a tag, like you're suggesting, to fix it.

If you're interested, I could probably get the GM to send the code via rMail. But if you're not worried, no problem.

Thanks for your time!
