Usually, when I get new players to join my games I use their original RTJ/visitor thread as a general PM thread for them.

However, I just recruited a player, gave them a character I'd NPCd, and discovered that they can no longer see their original visitor thread (though I can). I assume it's to do with transferring the NPC.

Is there any way I can reinstate their access to the visitor thread?

I think the best thing you can do is copy and paste the information to them from that thread ? If it was in the Private Mail area.

Try sending a message as a reply to that thread. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it only restores a single page from it.

I know the pain of losing rtj info, kinda bit when I wanted to reference it.

Thanks Merevel, that worked. Maybe I'd done that without thinking about it before - or other players simply hadn't mentioned they couldn't see it.

Anyway, all sorted now. :)
