Dice Roller Request PERK

Hello everyone. Most of you probably don't remember me, its been 10 years or so lol. Anyway, I've developed and published a Roleplaying System called PERK and want to know if we can get my dice system into the roller. I've got a game running here using it and probably will be doing a lot of gaming here again with our supplements getting released.

The system is a simple d6 dice pool, so it needs to know the number of dice, the target number and a challenge rating.

Challenges are Easy, Moderate, Hard, Severe, Extreme, Extreme+1, Extreme+2, Extreme+3.

A number of dice are rolled and each die that equals the target number is counted towards successes. Easy rolls require 1 die to succeed, moderate require 2, etc on up to Extreme requiring 5. It needs to count the number of successes and show each die total.

Some example rolls:

5d, TN 4 Moderate
3, 4, 5, 4, 6: 2 success(es)

6d, TN 3, Severe
2, 2, 3, 6, 5, 4: 1 success(es)

Dice are always d6. The target number is almost always 4 so it could be set to that by default. Ideally, the challenge ratings would be a drop down, but not sure if that's possible with the system as is.

I know the dice roller can handle this already with just selecting a number of d6's and telling it to record each die, which is what we're going to do for now, but I figured no harm in asking :)

edit: I was thinking this might be an upgrade to the diceroller over all instead of just a dice system being added... something like 'dice pool options'. So you can roll dice pools of any kind, set the target number and number of dice per success (or other dice pool options, although I don't know what they would be).

Re: Dice Roller Request PERK

The dice roller can do even better.

In the Game System menu of the dice roller, select Target Number and assign a Target Number value. Then set the number of d6s you want to roll, and it'll do the job.

The only thing you'll be missing are the challenge rating names, but that's less of a priority.

Your examples would go (5d6, Target Number 4) or (6d6, Target Number 3) - and the roller would state the total number of successes, so you'd need to subtract the difficulty to get the net successes. See White Wolf, Shadowrun, and similar games for options.

Re: Dice Roller Request PERK

Ahh, I actually didn't see the target number system was already there, so I guess the generic upgrade would be to add number of dice per success or something.

The difference with PERK is that the number of successes isn't always the number of dice that reach their target. The Challenge of the roll decides that. In truth, I'm sure we don't need another dice system in the list, but figured I'd ask anyway since jase is such a cool guy.
