I've noticed that in main menu are displayed not only games in which i play or submitted a request but even games I just browsed once or i'm no more playing since over a year.
Do you know how to clean this list?

To the left of the GM's name is a small box with a dot or dash (kinda small, and these old eyes don't see that well anymore) in the middle of the box.

Click it. :)

If you were actually a part of the game (submitted an RTJ and were accepted as a player) and never told the GM you were leaving, then the game will keep popping up on your list every time there's a post. You need to go to the GM and request that they remove you from the game and then once you're removed it will stop coming back.

I was taking for granted about no more being a character there

Some GMs will boot people out if the don't post after a while, but others will let the player sit there, waiting to see if they come back.
