Group Edit

Is there any way to allow all players to edit a single post in a thread (without giving them higher level access than 'player')?

I would like to allow players to edit a "group" post so that they can update community property (who has what equipment, etc.), as well as to update adventure and campaign summaries and goals.  I prefer this to all be in one post, but I think only the GM can edit posts by others.

(I've tried this with just using multiple posts in a thread through quotes and replies, and it becomes too complicated, and over the course of time adds to more confusion.  That's why I want one editable post per topic.)

Re: Group Edit

No -- there's no way to allow players to edit each others' posts, which is really what this would come down to.

What you could do is utilize a page in your game wiki, though.

Re: Group Edit

But they can't edit posts in the wiki, can they?

Re: Group Edit

I thought there was an option for the GM to set editors for specific pages, but honestly I've not used the Wiki myself, just poked around in it.  I should go look, eh?  It would see an odd wiki, though, that only the GM could edit... like why wouldn't they just use in-game posts then.

ETA: Yeah, when I edit a page in my game wiki, there is a part at the bottom for "Who can edit?", which also says, "leave blank for all users", which I would suppose to mean all RPoL users can edit it unless GM says otherwise.
