'No Access' when trying to post a picture

I am trying to post a picture in my Character Description.

I am pretty confident I have the source code correct, because sometimes the picture displays just fine.

However, sometimes I get a 'No Access' icon in place of the picture.

What is the reason for this problem and I how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Re: 'No Access' when trying to post a picture

It might be that wherever the image is being hosted has run out of bandwidth for the time being.  My first thought would be to change where you have it uploaded and see if that helps.

Re: 'No Access' when trying to post a picture

If picture displays sometimes, then the source code will be right.

Other possibilities: host server could be down (also happens with character portraits from time to time), or your browser could be timing out trying to access it ?

Or you have a password protection on the picture, like if it's in a private Photobucket folder.

... And are you linking to an image that you host yourself on your own webspace?

Re: 'No Access' when trying to post a picture

The picture is uploaded to a wikispace I am a part of that requires a password to access. Would that be causing the problem?

Re: 'No Access' when trying to post a picture

Yes, it would.  Only those who are logged in (possibly in their current browser session) would see it.  Others would not be able to.  If they weren't logged into that wikispace then they'd see the "no access" message.

Re: 'No Access' when trying to post a picture

Ah, got it. Moved picture to a non-password protected wiki and it worked just fine. Thanks for the help!
