I am trying to post a game map image -- jpeg on flickr.com to a game I started. According to the RPOL FAQs, this should work:

But the picture doesn't load.

Any advice? I'm sure this gets asked a lot, but I couldn't find it in any of my searches. Thank you all for the help.

I believe it's that last slash in the name of the file and the fact that the file name doesn't end in something like jpg or gif.  I've had that problem, too.

I would just place it in as a straight link. People can click on it to see the image then. Not ideal, but it gets the players to see the image some way at least.

Extension doesn't matter, but it has to be a valid address.  That is, if you copy and paste what's between the quotation marks it must work.  In your example it doesn't work unless I removing the trailing slash.

For me, whether with the slash or without, it doesn't lead to an image file, but to a web page.  To use the image tag (<img>), the address must lead to the image file, not the web page where the image is displayed.

Flickr should provide you some means to do that, but it's usually off somewhere named something like "embed this image".
