I just had an idea for a feature that might be cool to add, if possible.

It would be awesome if there could be folders where messages could be posted in our games.  For instance, I'm starting a game for new Pathfinder players.  Adding different folders like "Tutorials", "Character Creation", etc would help keep the main game page neat and tidy since the different threads could be nested inside them.

Just thought I'd suggest it.

I think there have been similar requests in the past.  I believe often it came down to concerns about GMs being able to keep up with all content in all folders.

However, you can currently [sort of] do this, if you place certain types of threads in certain groups, you can encourage your players to use the Filter feature which was implemented.

Filter on A for Character Creation information
Filter on B for Campaign Background information
Filter on C for Calendar and past story summaries
etc.

I know it isn't as simple as what you suggested, but I wanted to point out there is a 'sort' of a way to accomplish this if you have a significant need for it right now.

There's also groups. The GM could have all Character Creation and Tutorials in Group 0, then divide the other groups as he wishes.

You could probably also do something like this on the Game Wiki page.

Oh that's a great idea! If you know how to operate a Wiki anyway. I don't really know how to do that so I'm stuck using groups.

Read through the link Heath gave and you'll find a couple tips for the main issues, like creating the sub articles.  Give it a try and ask questions, probably not here but in the thread about wikis.  People are pretty helpful.

There was a thread a while ago now in the development forum (link to a message in another game) that started to discuss how we could group threads together.  It might be time to revisit that.

Thanks for pointing that out, jase.  It'd be pretty rad if more thought could be given to the topic of folders :)
