Intresting Question

Which I am not sure where it belongs but I am going to post it here because this seems the most likely place:

What language is RPoL programed in?

You see I have decided that I am going to learn to program, and one thing I would like to do with that is give Jase a hand with this site that has seen me through some very dark times. So I would like to know what language I should study to make that possible.

If Jase is thinking right now that he does not want to share the code and so forth, I can respect that, but as I may have mentioned in the past he is not Immortal, and so if he does not wish my help NOW then consider the future: I would gladly take up a position as a member of his elect team handling the coding of the site when he is no longer around to do it!
*(Since it will be necessary to have someone with access to the source code at that time just in case of hacking or server error.)

But of course I cannot help if I don't learn how the system works, and to learn that I need to know the lingo, so, I close with the question that opened: What language is RPoL programed in?

Re: Intresting Question

it's called RuBB. It's one of the main features of the help link.

/help/?page=post

I think that link gets you there.

Re: Intresting Question

I think the more accurate answer is the Perl and PHP programming languages connecting with Berkeley and MySQL databases.  PHP and MySQL is what we're currently (slowly) migrating to.

Re: Intresting Question

Thank you: I will put those on my list of things to study right after Java and C.

(Also, much as I may harp on your lack of immortality Jase, I would like to state that I wish you a long, fruitful, and happy life.)

I'd keep an eye on that guy if I were you Jase ...
