Just general talking, saying hi, and so on. I'll make any announcements here.
Not the intended place for questions and advice (see "Quick Questions and Advice" thread).

In a NON-fantasy setting what are the primary archetypes. Say a superhero setting..

Archetypes like... Hero, villain, mentor, damsel?
I would imagine a lot of archetypes can be used in any setting, and that there's just endless archetypes.
Is there something in particular you're trying to figure out?

Archtypes. Like D&D has. Fighter, Thief, Wizard, etc...  But something like that for a supers game.

When I was big into Champions, I was made aware of the following superhero archetypes:

1. Brick: This is the one who has high armor, high strength, and high damage output. In games with a point-based character generation system, this leaves little room for anything else. Example: The Hulk

2. Energy Projector: This is the character who usually has a high-powered attack that can hit single targets at range. Example: Cyclops

3. Mentalist: This is the character who uses magic or psionics to alter the enemy's abilities. Example: Doctor Strange

4. Speedster: This is the character that can move quickly and get into places that would otherwise be unreachable. They also are known for initiative, being able to hit first and change the outcome with a quick strike. Example: The Flash

5. Gadgeteer: This uis the character who has (or can generate) the right tool for the job at all times. Example: Batman

@All: So, apparently the "old version" of this game is being revived. (It's advertisement thread has been bumped. I didn't realize co-gm's could bump a game.)

I would suggest everyone join over there. link to another game
I will likely delete this game to avoid conflict and confusion. (I'll probably give it a week or so to give people time to react.)

Last call for people to jump over, will likely delete this game at the end of the long weekend.
Sorry for the jumping around and confusion.
