What Has Come Before
The year 2941 saw several important events occur: the death of the dragon Smaug, the battle of the Five Armies, the restoration of Dale and the Kingdom under the Mountains, and most importantly, Bilbo Baggins' finding of the One Ring.
Important figures at this time in the history of the Wilderlands include Bard, newly crowned King of Dale; Beorn, chief of the Beornings; Dain of the Iron Hills, King of the restored Kingdom under the Mountain; and Thranduil, King of the Elves of Mirkwood.
