Way to delete or edit requests

Hi I've been thinking on this a lot during the night when I seen a game I was rejected for use something similar to what I put on my RTJ.

Is there a way to make it where a player can either delete or edit their requests? Also would help when you need to make a change to it.

Re: Way to delete or edit requests

For the original RTJ request, you cannot edit it. Doesn't look like you can edit any of the PM on it after either. The main reason is that the RTJ itself is your RPOL name giving your age statement. They don't want people to be able to change it, especially if they are going to mess with the age statement. If you need to make changes on one, I would say make the changes and then reply with the changes on the same PM and advise that.

The best you can do to dissuade others from "using" material you included in your RTJ would be to ask the GM to delete it or not use it.

Editing an RTJ is taboo for the reasons prophacyks mentioned.

In reply to PyraBlack (msg # 1):

They say that there are no new ideas under the sun: It might be that it is a perfectly innocent similarity.  It might even be possible that the two character ideas were submitted at the same time and you were the second one to submit it.  There's no way to know for sure without talking to the GM in question.

Speaking of which, talking to the GM should be your first course of action.  Try not to be accusatory or inflammatory when you do, but realize that there really isn't much you can do even if it is a plagiarized character.  It can be hard when you feel your ideas have been stolen, but it is one of the risks of this kind of gaming and your best course of action might be to just let it go.

Re: Way to delete or edit requests

is there a way to remove my ads and  start fresh?

I have 3 games running, and when I bump them I simply cut and paste the last one , with edits to charatcers, ect.

But  my games have a lot of pages on the ad page..

so?..is there a way to eliminate the ads, and start fresh?

Moderators can delete ads, on request, but we only do so in the very specific circumstance that the game has a new owner, who wants to post their own ad.
