NowhereMash is a homebrew d20 game built from the rules of several different "official" systems. The setting is a modern Earth heavily influenced by different media canons in one giant crossover. Some of the included canons are Marvel comics, the Black Lagoon anime, the Mercenaries video game series, and the Hellboy franchise. The end result is a slightly post-modern world with a secret paranormal background.

NowhereMash, as a game, is whatever you want it to be. The game will be mostly sandbox, taking the backgrounds and goals of each individual character and shaping the world to them. In fact, the setting is essentially being built by the players, as your character's backgrounds influence the content of the world, and you are able to introduce characters, organizations, and even basic world mechanics during character creation.

This game is complicated, and it requires quite a bit of effort to get the hang of, but it has the potential to be a lot of fun if you're willing to dedicate the time and attention it needs. As a player and GM, I have been playing with this system and setting for around five or six years, and I haven't been disappointed yet.
