Croak grunted, strained, fought against his binds with endless relentlessness. These things were
tough!
Almost as tough as these guys, it seemed.
These bone-capped cultists were really working this group over while he was still tied up like a hog ready for the feast. When was the last time he'd been in this sort of situation? He couldn't remember...
Just before Croak unleashed another flurry of attacks against his chains (of all the things), he felt a wave of terror threat his presence. It was awfully all-consuming, and he most certainly didn't like it. It was already bad enough he was restricted, nearly shot to death as plainly as pigeon hunting, relying on a group that
he was sent to help, and helpless to do naught but watch them struggle. Now he was to be subjected to an unseen force invading his very thoughts. He slowed down the moments around him, reaching into his mind to flick a very particular switch.
No.
Something inside his mind
*clicked*, a spark of clarity fighting back the fog of fear. He settled into the peace, into the calm, into the moment. In a second of perfection, Croak didn't fight. Now was not the time.
He focused deeper to his inner self, shifting styles, modifying methods. Some techniques were turned on and off as he adjusted for the newest variables.
For the Will Save: 16
Immediate Action: Using Boost; Moment of Perfect Mind (Concentration check for Will save). Forgot to include the roll for the con check, which netted a 12 so just added the difference (+4) between the Will save and Concentration to get a total of 16.
Full-Round Action: Using Adaptive Style to reset and rearrange maneuvers.
