His eyes stray again to Grimaldi, curiosity getting the best of him. He looks away and back to dne.
"What magics do you possess that would make dropping the whole group so easy anyway? Honestly, I wouldnt mind cutting a few down to satisfy Miekka's thirst, he fiends for blood, and I wouldn't mind showing off my skills with a sword either. It's been quite a while since ive spilled any blood, and I could use the practice."

Returning to the others, she will tell them that the Wench is a criminal organization that knows of the target, and is sometimes frequented by him, but since they do not want more enemies than they need to have, she suggests visiting them subtly to get more information. Or they could dress someone up as a rich merchant and go where they usually rob folk...

Grimaldi was getting bored, as he waited. He figured he'd try and be a little sociable for a change and see what was going on among his fellow guildsman. Shifting off the wall, he walked over towards the half elf, curious if nothing else. "Salutations, stranger. I am Grimaldi..what do you have there? I see they've allowed you to retain your blade. They don't trust me yet..." Grimaldi gave a dry chuckle

He nods to Grimaldi and extends a hand."The name's Sederic, well met, Grimaldi. I assume you are speaking about this," he says, indicating his sword.
"This is Hypäävä Miekka, the sword that leaps. Miekka is a sentient weapon, capable of fighting on his own. However, he curses me with nightmares that terrorize my dreams and make sleep damn near impossible at times. Iy leeches energy from me if I cannot provide him blood. I tracked it down to a cave through my reading, and went with a group of friends to retrieve it from the draugur that guarded it. Sadly, my companions were killed in the fight and I barely escaped with my life after saturating it in fireballs. Such a fine sword compliments my already impressive swordplay, yet I haven't decided if it's truly worth it, at the cost of my health and the horrors I've witnessed in my dreams."

“Why worry about getting in?  I can easily force all of them to come out.”

He aims his beak at Sederic.

“Will you take my word for that, or would you like a demonstration?  I can provide that.... but it wouldn’t be pleasant.”

"Drauger you say...? Most interesting. I know many things about the undead. Looks like a splendid sword, indeed... Such a high cost to pay. Let us hope you resist it's darkness, lest it drive you mad." Grimaldi said, appraising the sword warily, but with obvious interest."

"Your threats are unnecessary, Dne. i asked a simple question, I'm a magic user myself, it was an honest question, and yo be honest, i would rather not engage these thugs in the street," Sederic replies to Dne, obviously irritated by the thinly veiled threat. "Miekka doesny appreciate your foolishness, either, and you'll soon find his temper is much shorter than mine."
"I do hope to learn some spells to better deal with the undead myself, Grimaldi. Mayhaps we can trade secrets sometime," Sederic says, turning his attention to Grimaldi once again.

"Perhaps we can compare notes sometime. I wouldn't mind sparring with a swordsman of greater skill than I, but tell me what would your blade think? Would he sit in his scabbard whilst we used the wooden swords? Or fly and attempt to slay me? Hahahaha!" Grimaldi laughed.
Grimaldi looked at the other two at the table.
"Are these friends of yours?"

"I wouldn't mind a friendly spar, sometime. Miekka would allow it, as a wooden sword lacks an edge. i haven't even been able to cut meat with a normal knife since I've been in possession of this blade," Sederic laughs.
" And as to these two, I've known Aegis since he was a boy,but we parted ways long ago, and Dne and i have just met. Couldn't even tell you whats under that avian mask of his. Masugatan and Reanna are also recent introductions of mine, I fear I've been away for quite some time, tucked away in a library and honing my skills on the road. Time doesn't pass the same for my kind, even though I'm a half blood, a mere blink of the eye to me could be weeks to a human."

"Well met. I am Grimaldi." He said, nodding at the others.
"I've just returned from the underdungeons of the city. We were hired to slay a slorn, and that's just what we did. There was a quarrel with the stubborn Master Broderick, and the recalcitrant priest of Helios. Hahaha!" Grimaldi looked over at the priest.
"we're waiting for our payment, as we have fulfilled our contract. Perhaps we'll return, and open the gate which blocked our path, and explore further. Since the priest has decided to leave our group and go with your group, perhaps I could ask Master Broderick about taking you on, with us?" Grimaldi craned his neck, and scanned the room.
"So, what are you involved in now, anyway...?"

Dne’s voice becomes shrill.  “Threats?  I made no threats.  I said that my demonstration would be unpleasant, not fatal.  And I meant exactly what I said, no more and no less.”

He sighs.  Some people!

"I've heard the underdungeons contain a vast wealth of knowledge, which is admittedly an obsession of mine," Sederic says.
"I'd honestly rather take to the underdungeons, to be completely honest. im.not really committed and they don't seem that they'll miss me much. If your party is willing to take me.on, I'd gladly accept."
Sederic turns his attention again to Dne and smirks.
"Mayhaps next time.you choose your words a bit more carefully.  Your intentions are hard to tell when hiding behind a mask. i spend a lot of time alone, and therefore don't recognize the subtleties of human interaction. We may have to take a raincheck on our ventures together, anyway, if I'm allowed a spot in this man's group, Dne. I cant be sure yet, however."

Dne turns his attention to Grimaldi.

“If you need a companion for underworld adventures, I would be far superior to this lout.  Especially if you want to kill lots of vermin before even stepping foot down there.  Extermination happens to be a specialty of mine.”

His beak swings back toward Sederic.

“Or take him and his pigsticker.  You can’t have us both.”

"Yes indeed, we did have a disagreement. He cared nothing for the lives of those he worked with. Since our faith says we should care for others, I found that unacceptable. Though technically, I was told to leave, but I did not need to be told twice. I too wait for payment, but perhaps others might be more willing to work as a team..."

She pauses, then heads for the door.

Grimaldi just leaned back in his chair against the wall, and folded his arms, leering.

Masugatan follows her.  “Mind if I come along?”

"The choice is yours, Grimaldi. I'd very mich enjoy going, but if u wish to take the mage, take him. I fear i just need to set out on an adventure, it really matters not where. I'm honestly to the point where it doesn't matter, as long as theres blood to be spilled and I'm away from this....bird-thing," Sederic says, obviously tired of Dne and his ignorance. He leans back in in his seat and takes a long sip of water.

"I'll vouch for you, Sederic. Stick with me, and I'll introduce you, when we find Master Broderick." Grimaldi got up to receive his bowl of stew and crust of bread.

“How many times do I have to tell you that I’m not a mage, but an elementalist?  You fancy yourself a mage, so you ought to know the difference.”

He sets off in search of a meal.

Sederic chuckles at the tantrum, deciding to follow Grimaldi to go receive his meal as well. After receiving it, he returns to his seat.
"That'd be much appreciated, Grimaldi. I'm looking forward to setting out soon."

Grimaldi sat back down with his food, tasted it and smacked his lips a bit. Setting his bowl down, he points at it and speaks:"Calidus!"
His bowl begins to steam slightly, and Grimaldi gives his bowl a stir with his spoon, before taking another bite. Nodding, he breaks his bread in half, dunking a piece in his bowl.
