The Common Room

In reply to Grimaldi (msg # 29):

Connard du Menteur is not a concerned citizen who dislikes after hours gambling halls; he is a small time racketeer who leans heavily on those who owe gambling debts, with his squad of legbreakers and finger takers. He has some kind of official status or licensed office with the Hadereum from which he gets income, and helps hide his activities, like a notary.

"We can slaughter his associates and probably put enough fear in him to remove his will to resist us. I could send Miekka in and probably get the response I desire, but we'd have to be careful as sometimes I lose control of him when his mood is foul, and Brod has left him in quite a mood, I must admit."

He pulls Miekka from his sheath a few inches, the hum emanating from it louder than usual. He closes his eyes as if paying deep attention and nods, speaking in an extremely low voice, inaudible to those around the table.

"I suggest we be on our way,
the sooner the better. I say we head to the artisinal district and take a look around, seems we have a pretty good idea of where he is at."

He pulls his cloak around his shoulders and heads towards the door and into the streets assuming the rest will follow."

After the two retire to their quarters to be dressed in their armors by their valet, they return, Percival in mail and surcoat, James ensconced in full brigandine.
You all collect your arms and shields for the knights from McCain, and step outside.

The Artisinal district intersects with the redlight and mercantile districts at the Guild's doorstep, as Adventurers are somewhat between the three as to their general reputation.
This part of the city predates the Roman occupation, and most of the inhabitants are trades goblins, engaged in crafting leather goods and inexpensive metalwork.

The rough  map brings you to the northern edge of the district n near the wharves, warehouses, and low rent houses of the Sahudese. Even now, you can see a Sahudese man in elaborate yellow robes standing atop a barrel addressing a crowd of foreign born mercenaries in his peculiar tonal language.

In reply to Grimaldi (msg # 49):

Not far away you find a run down tavern called The Rusty Marlinspike.
The crowd seems to consist of dockworkers, sailors, and brutes of low birth.
Percival and James look uncomfortable.
A one eyed fellow with a hook for ahand glares at you from a corner, and two of the men next to him have brands on their hands, indicating that they are convicted felons.

Sederic looks at the hook handed man and smirks, sizing up his bodyguards incase they decide to follow them outside. He shakes his head and looks back at Grimaldi and the knights.
"No need to leave just yet, methinks. I bet someone here at least knows something. he says. Besides, it seems we have some admirers, I'd hate to cut their admiration of us short. I say we have a drink and see what we can learn. We have to be careful though. If he gets wind that 4 heavily armed, dangerous looking men are looking for him he may bolt, before we get our chance."
