Ales drinks the broth, and along with the healer's skill, regains 7 pts. and returns to full health.

"Many thanks to you,Yokudu, for your many skills, but I wish to make use of threpatron's vast library. A pleasant evening."

And with that, Ales heads towards the library.

Chye gets a bath, cleans his gear, and changes into his jianghu silks and slippers.

Once healed and rested, Chou-Zhen also avails himself of the baths and sends his clothing to the palace laundry, then relaxes and waits for his armor repairs to be completed.  If appropriate, he sleeps.

In reply to Chou-Zhen Mou (msg # 912):

Given a day, all is mended. The catfolk smiths redress the armor, the catfolk laundresses clean everyones robes. All are rested, and clean. Jin heads out to attend to some of the Omo's businesses.

Chou-Zhen, waking fully refreshed, visits the kitchen to obtain a bowl of rice for breakfast, then dresses for the street and leaves the house for errands of his own at the Guild.

Chye rises from his mat, and seeks out breakfast as well. Minding his manners, he satisfies himself with a simple bowl of rice, but already planning out his lunch and afternoon snack for the day. His dinner options, given the other day's foray, have become limited. He'll have to find a new favorite spot!

"Hoiii!" Chye greets the staff and others cheerfully, sporting his new belt plaque with pride, obviously pleased with himself.

Iskander comes in shortly after the others, looking fit and no longer stiff of movement.
He sits down in the hall with Chye, and reaches for a small, sweet melon and begins opening it up. "Bon Dia, Senyors."

"So, what do you think Akira will do, now? Do you think he would attempt a full on, assault on the palace?" Chye made conversation, through mouthfuls of rice.

"I know some things about defensive strategy, but as far as the palace, i'd have to have stayed here long enough to get familiar, but these ninja are skilled at infiltration as well as stealth. We must be on guard, and ready for anything."

The one eyed ashigaru, accompanied by two others you recognize as renegades pass you on the way to the courtyard. Numbah Three Son has a sash with the Omo's colors, the other two appear to have the same mercenary status as Iskander. The Omo appears to be making some increases to his defenses as well.

16:36, Today: Chye Isuel rolled 13 using 3d6.  carousing - 15 (wants to invite #3 and the renegs over to break bread). Chye waves at the trio: "Hoi! Bring yourselves and join us!"

"You remember that haunted house, across the street from the silver jade palace? I mean to investigate that place...who wants to come with me?" Iskander said nonchalantly, as he ate his aralaise charentais.

Chou-Zhen enters the courtyard, resplendent in his freshly cleaned and retouched armor and walking with a little more bounce in his step than normal.

"Haunted house?  Oh, the one with all the warnings posted.  Shouldn't we wait to see what the Omo requires of us before making plans to go off on our own?"

"Of course. And by the looks of things, we're going to be needed soon.
I'm talking about when we get a chance. I might be curious, but I'm not fool enough to go alone."
Iskander took one of the charentais and put it in his jacket, along with a d'anjou, for later on. He poured himself a cup of barley water, and finished the fruit he'd already began to eat.

Once in the library, Ales starts looking for anything related to esoterica.  He notices that having been all these Sahudese, his comprehension in the language has improved and he is having only minor problems understanding the writings.  After finding a few books that piqued his interest, he settles in and begins to try to elicit the deeper meanings within the works.

Finally realizing that it's the next day,  Ales stumbles into the kitchen to grab something to eat.  He picks up a an orange, finally realizing that he wasn't alone.

"Did Ssakemoko issue a new request while I was studying?"

"Nothing yet from Omo-sama, but by the looks around the palace, we'll be called upon soon!"

Tanaka strolls inyo the dining hall, rubbing sleep from his eyes. His shoulder length black hair is already pulled into a topknot and his beard is carefully groomed. He wears fine clothes, suitable for court, his dark blue pants sinched and tied above his boots. His yellow shirt is tucked into his pants and is partially hidden by a grey sleeveless hooded long coat. Around his waist there is a sash, holding a fine katana and a bokken, sheathed at his waist.
He moves with a cat like grace, and is very quiet doing so. His brown eyes scan the room quietly, falling upon the others in the dining hall. He nods a greeting to them and goes about his business, securing some rice and chopsticks and taking a place at the table, eating quickly and quietly.

Noticing the new arrival, Chou-Zhen walks over to greet him, resplendent in his lacquered armor with brass and ribbons flashing.  He bows before speaking.

"I am Chou-Zhen Mou, a wizard in service of the Omo, Sakemoko.  I don't recall seeing you here before; are you a member of the household as well, or a recently hired sellsword?"

In reply to Chou-Zhen Mou (msg # 928):

One of the catfolk of the household makes abow that has elements of both respect and familarity toward Tanaka-san. Chou-zen is able to note the omo's mark embroidered on the newcomers robe. By these signs it can be seen that this son of Sahud is of the household, although perhaps returning after an absence.

Tanaka stands and returns the bow, eyeing the man wearily.
"My name is Tanaka Kojimaru. A pleasure to meet you, I'm sure. I'm no sellsword, and am just returning to this blessed house. I actually hail from Sahud, but have been on the move for quite some time, seeking inspiration and escape at times, when the moon shines heavily on painful memories."
His Sahudese accent is thick and his clothing hints that he comes from the Shibuya region of the East.
As he sits back down, he gestures towards an empty chair, in case the wizard wishes to sit and converse more.

His draconic eyes flashed, and his pointed ears and fangs seemed to support his claims.

Airis walks in and looks to see who is there. She is in a dancing outfit and walks over to the others "Greetings"

She looks at Tanaka "Hello, I am Airis, a dancer in the service of the master. Can I inquire who you are?"
