Re: Below Junior House

Nodwin intones a short prayer and casts a healing spell.

After doing so, he smiles and moves over to a cleared area near the others and sits down to rest for a few minutes, while watching for the little spiders.

[Private to GM: 23:42, Today: Nodwin Zideqick rolled 11 using 3d6.  Neutralize Poison 14.]

The Ymid, while still wounded, seems a little less swollen and discolored.

You all feel an odd greasy sensation behind your eyes that flickers and makes you experience a mixture of vertigo and nausea.

The other bundle stirs faintly.

"These spiders seem a little smarter than the ones in the basement back at the orphanage.  Those would just keep on spinning web until you pulled off the thread they were hanging on, then start climbing toward your fingers.

"These are smart enough to stay back after we kill a couple."

The demonstrate thoughtful behavior, but I can barely hear their thoughts...

You all hear this in your head, slightly slurred and muffles, as though a drunkard were shouting in the rain somewhere behind where you keep the memory of a childhood meal, the scent of which is no longer nostalgic.

"I doubt even these are a smart as a dog."  Mario brings an image of Crotchsniffer to his mind, unsure if Ymid will pick it up.  "They're still smarter than the spiders that spin webs in basements, though."

Jareth steps up next to Clarence, raps his shortstaff out against the stone floor towards the spiders and mutters "Arogl twyllo", the staff flashes briefly under it's leather and cloth wraps and the tunnel leading back to the spoders fills with thick yellow choking smog.

OOC:  16:25, Today: Jareth Mooncalled rolled 11 using 3d6.  Spell Activation (Stench) 15.  FP: 4.  4 yard radius Stench spell, width reduced to fit the tunnel.

"I'm on it, Jareth."

Mario readies the arrow from his never-empty quiver, nocks and draws, then releases, winging a shaft into the nearest of the advancing spiders.

Once more, Mario readies the ordinary arrow from it's quiver, nocks, draws, and releases in a single fluid movement, winging the arrow between the eyes of the nearest spider.
