IC: Colony Building Starfinder Game

I've read through the Starfinder rules, and I was thinking of running a game where PCs are establishing a colony on an "uninhabited" planet or moon. If I have more than 5 or 6 PCs, I'll also look for a co-gm, and break everyone up into a few different parties!

I'm pretty well convinced you could put up a Starfinder game where the PCs are going to be watching paint dry for science and get at least 5 submissions.  It is, as the kids say, the new hotness.  Err... okay, so maybe that's the middle aged kids...

I'd be very interested but sadly I won't be doing anything Starfinder till it hits the pathfinder srd.

I'm vaguely interested. I got the book yesterday, and I'd certainly like to give the system a try... but I'm not sure if I have enough time to commit to a new game.

Interest, for sure, but I have to buy the book first.

I'm interested to see what Starfinder has to offer, but my book hasn't come in yet.

I am inclined to agree, the interest will be automatic, even for folks who have not yet acquired the book.  I would be curious if you plan to have the colonists be yet another wave of 1st level cannon fodder or folks who have gone through some sort of selection process and are thus a bit more competent?

PC's will likely be the first wave of colonists, sent to establish an initial base camp. They'll have certain objectives given by their sponsors, and this will be just about the only way to get new equipment (besides crafting, or maybe scavenging ruins)

Are you using the colony only as a framing device for missions, or do you intend to do more with it as a building sim thing?

Probably somewhere in the middle! For the first few missions, until they're ready to set up a base camp, they'll probably be based out of a spaceship orbiting the planet. As the players finish missions, their progress will improve the state of the colony, giving them access to more resources

Don't have the Starfinder rules yet, but this will help me with the Rimworld addiction.

I see you have no shortage of potential players, but I'd still like to throw my hat into the ring if you need or want more.
