Interest Check: Savage Lands - Borderlands, Shadowrun or....

I am considering running a Savage Worlds game, but am not sure what type of game I want to run. I've narrowed it down tofour options.

- Borderlands: There are two conversions I like for this and I would be pruning the best bits from each of them. I'm not sure on the time frame or anything yet, but it would probably be after Borderlands 2 and take place off of Pandora.

- Shadowrun: I love the Shadowrun setting. It is one of my favorite settings. For me though the official rules are way too crunchy for me. i have found a pretty awesome looking conversion for Savage Worlds and am hoping to give it a try.

- Firefly: Firefly was an amazing show and there is tons role play potential. I know there is an official rules system, but I do not have the books or the cash right now to buy them. So why not try it with Savage Worlds.

- The Division: A game based on The division could be fun if somewhat limited.

So, which of the above ideas would you be most interested in? Or if you have another idea you'd like to see for a Savage Worlds game put it out there. If there is enough interest in any of these or others I might try and set up a game.

The Division could be interesting, although if you're open to other Savage World ideas, Deadlands and Rippers are both settings I love and would always be up for playing.

I'm always up for Shadowrun or Firefly, though I know little about the SW system.

I'd echo seraphmoon's thoughts here. Honestly, I'd be against one of the published SW settings (Deadlands, etc), simply because there are a lot more of those games out there, compared to other settings.

I'm particularly fond of cyberpunk, so I'd lean towards Shadowrun.

I would like to see how Borderlands would play out, especially if you have some sort of randomizer for the gear we'd find. (When 3.0 D&D came out, they made a book for converting Diablo 2. Never got to try it.)

I'd also like to see Firefly, simply because I've never had a chance to do any RPing in that setting.

This setting book has a lot of good stuff in it including an amazing rule set to mimic the Borderlands gear.

This one will form the bulk of the setting rules. It is an amazing setting that could even stand alone without any Borderlands stuff.

I love Savage Workds and would totally be up for the Shadowrun to Borderlands in particular. The others sound fun too, but especially those two.

I'd love me a Savage Shadowrun. I started working on a conversion, but due to lack of time I put it on ice for now.

I have to agree that I love Savage Worlds as well and would be up for something like a Shadowrun game. Borderlands might be fun as well though I have never played the games so don't know anything there.

I have a pretty good - on paper at least- module for Savage Shadowrun. The main thing for me is getting the Shadowrun feel without all of  the crunch that comes with the official game books. The Matrix make that a bit difficult, but I like how the module handles it.

For Borderlands I think Coventry is an amazing setting book and even a standalone story based on the created setting would be fun. If I want to make it more in tune with the actual in game stuff then the other book is also needed.

The Savage Worlds licensee Interface Zero might be able to help you out there. It's a bit too... parody-like to really capture Shadowrun, but it does have a lot of useful cyberpunk-oriented rules.

I have a conversion I like, just not sure about running it. The previews for "The Orville" have me wanting to try a Star Trek parody now too. So many interesting game ideas, so little time.

If you wanted to run an actual Star Trek setting game that could work, parody games tend to devolve into silly to fast.

Firefly or Shadowrun are also good for me, if you are still even considering those options.

Depends on how my current games go and how my work schedule shakes out. Not planning on running any of them anytime soon though.

I would be interested in something like Borderlands. It's pretty cool and I'm trying to learn Savage Worlds.

Depending on how things go with my job schedule and stuff, I may try to run this after October or November. My current schedule is too busy to run another game.
