Freeform space adventure, anyone?

Hello rpol.

I got a thoroughly thought out story about humanity's first attemp at reaching distant stars, with a couple of plot twists here and there. The game will mostly revolve around group of ...exceptional people (with preset roles, but player-built character) working together to overcome "plot twists" gm will be throwing at them. Aside from some advanced techs, the game will have psionics (people capable of manipulating the world with sheer power of their minds). In fact whole space travel stuff is only possible with psi power, so I guess, the game is not very scientific, more just sci-fi.

I actually tried to run it tabletop with my rl friends, but rl got in the way, as it usually is with rl. So I decided to try my luck online. The story is raging inside, eager to burst out, and if you will help me set it free, I'd be really greatful.

I definitely like the science fiction moonshotty premise.  Freeform makes me a big nervous but color me interested if the setup is good.
