Superheroes?

After a 5-6 month hiatus I am finally at a point where I can get back into Rpol.net. I’m looking to start a small game, 5-6 players at most, in the Superhero genre. While I have played and GM’ed many superhero games, my current favorite is Mutants & Masterminds (3rd Edition). Mostly because I own Hero Lab and it just makes running a game so much easier, at least for me.

I also really enjoy ICON’s so I could probably be talked into running that.  Currently I’m home all day, I’m recovering from some medical issues, so I’m not allowed to exert myself, so I spend a LOT of time playing online. So this means I have disgusting amounts of time to run a game or two.

I’m hoping for a posting rate of 3-5 times per week for all players. More if they can, less sometimes as life can throw curve balls.

The mood I’m looking for is standard Four Color comics. I’d like players willing to be flexible with the concepts they apply with and be willing to make changes to help with team building.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve had some pretty severe health issues this year, and last time I was running some games I got sick and dropped off the face of the earth with no warning. This time however i’ve made sure my Wife is aware of what games I’m playing and asked her to provide updates if that is required.

So onto the game itself. Players would be members of one of the world's premiere super teams. Maybe not #1, but definitely in the top 5.

PL would be PL10, but players would get 200 PP’s instead of 150.

Variable is RESTRICTED. I would need a VERY good reason for allowing it.

Those are my initial thoughts, and honestly I still gestating on my plans for the game. Any and all suggestions, input, advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd really rather play Icons since you mentioned it. To me, it's more fun and the rules are just better for four color (IMO).

I'm always up for superhero games. I'd be interested in M&M 3e because I've got more experience in it. I'll check out Icons though. ^_^

Where in the character's personal timeline does the game begin?

The initial description suggests that they are already on a top-five superteam (although "would be" does have an interesting whiff of ambiguity).

However, I really liked the setup for your [other game] before it went into stasis during the health hiatus.

It could be interesting if this new game started with the characters getting their powers, and moved into the formation of the top-five superteam...

Another interesting question is setting.  Any hope of a non-contemporary setting (whether past or future)?

Of course, you could cannibalize generous portions of your [other game's] world.  That game had a very strong start, and your ideas there are worthy of seeing the light of day again.  :)

Superheroes?

Would love to play in a good superhero game, but unfortunately I have no experience with either system mentioned.
