After a long time holding out due to my love of the second edition of M&M I've finally caved and got hold of the third.

I quite like what I see and am keen to try it out properly by running a game!

I've got two options in mind so wanted to see if there are any interested players for either:

1) A fairly 'classic' superhero game. Probably PL10 or thereabouts - characters are a newly minted superhero team foiling evildoers left, right and centre. I'd aim for a fairly light silver age feel and keep it pretty episodic with fairly short adventures, recurring villains and one or two overarching plots.

2) A pulp game set in the 1930s. This would be more PL7 or 8 and probably a fair bit more gritty. It would also be a bit more linear with a clear 'adventure' to go through but packed full of action and daring-do.

Any interest in one of those?

Hello, BaronsCourt! I'm very interested in either game you run. I have and enjoy M&M 3rd edition. I'm also very familiar with the rules so no problems there. Like you I started with M&M 2nd edition then moved on to 3rd later.

I'm interested in the first option. But, if the vote ends up being the second choice. Then I'm still game. I am also fairly familiar with the rules. So no problems with me as well.

Always up for Mutants and Masterminds! :) Both ideas sound plenty of fun.

You will have absolutely no problem getting people for either game I think. M&M is very popular. Both genre's are good.

Myself I would prefer the lower powered game. A PL 8 pulp game would be great: shades of 'Doc Savage!' coming out. The 1930s were a great time to RP in

I'm here for pulp.  What level of supernatural spoopies?

I'm new to RPOL and trying to get myself settled, but M&M has been my system of choice for a few years now.  I would love the opportunity to play in a game.

I'd give either of these a look. I'd probably favor 1 over 2, unless you plan to be fairly permissive with settings and characters - I like the sound of the overall campaign in 2 better, and the 30s are an interesting setting, but in my experience also a pretty restrictive one in terms of workable characters.

I would definitely prefer a non-contemporary setting such as Option #2...  :)

Wow - there's a lot of love for M&M!

Given the slight leaning of responses to a pulp style game I'll go for that. I'll set something up this week with the intention to be accepting players by the weekend.
