Any interest in playing through a bunch of the old 80s the modules in serial? I'm thinking start with A1-4, moving into the GDQs, and S1-4. Might need some mid level connective tissue after the A's. Obviously, this would be a long term game.

For a long term campaign like you're proposing, how do you plan to keep it from bogging down? How do you see character progression happening? I'm interested in 5e.

My pref would be for 2nd ed, but I suspect I am in the minority here.

It's d20 based and quite well put together.

I'd be interested in filling in gaps from my youth depending on whether I know or can learn the system (or if the GM is ultra patient.)
