Engine Heart

Well, looked for a GM and couldn't find one, so now I figured I'll be one.

What's the interest in a one-shot Engine Hearts campaign, for players old and sparkling new?

The free core and supplemental are here.

The caveat being that while I'll happily take the new defects and features listed on Power and Lights, I'm banning nuclear battery as a purchasable feature. The push for power is going to be a motivator.

Expect a relatively fast paced game, as I tend to check in and respond at least once a day (except on weekends).

So I just went and looked through the core rules, and it seems like a really neat setting and system. I'm interested!

In reply to kbdevil1a (msg # 2):

That's one. I'll start thinking up a few one-run plots.

In terms of the game itself, do we prefer classic Engine Hearts (Post-Apoc world), Engine Hearts in space (Semi-unique), under water (Never actually played/ran one like this), or so forth? Other ideas? World of zombies for kicks and giggles?

What would you like to see in an Engine Hearts game?

I personally would like to play in the classic world, or that underwater idea, reminds me of the SOMA game.

If I can pitch in my two cents, I'd want to have a fun game with a bit seriousness than the other way around. That One GameTM I played in I played an advertising robot that was basically a flying Vince from Shamwow the Robot. While not specifically playing that again, that's the tone I wanna go for. Sort of. Not too silly, but somewhat silly enough. I feel the game is supposed to be rather lighthearted after all.

If not, a more post-apoc world more akin to the Primordia game would also be cool. But I'm up for either, as long as everyone's on the same page. I just wanna play a robot. Because robots are fun.
