Color me interested I pledged to the kickstarter, though I have you know I tend to go for chars that can come across as overly pretentious.

Interest in a Vampire:Dark ages game

The pc games of Vampire were two that I never managed to get my hands on.  I heard they were pretty good.

I can guide folks through character creation.

The mission itself will be in Spain.
The way we wrote it, the vampire sending the coterie was based in northern Italy.

As far as vampire politics - it's been just a few hundred years since the tremere became a clan.  and just a few short years since the Cappadocians ceast being a clan and became a bloodline in hiding.

Think 1440's 1450's real world and that gives you  good starting point.

Going to stick strictly with vampires.  This event is a bit of an internal issue, and while I am sure it would be of interest to other groups, Kindred would have no interest or desire to include others.

Ohh, the Camarilla has just been formed (it is one of the founders who has called for this group to be sent.)  And the Sabbat has yet to become more than a novel idea.

the only real limitation would be Assamite clan.  But the story was written with the possibility of one in mind, so I can work with that too.

I figure the Camarilla is new, and has yet to engender much opposition.

Is that what folks were looking for?

Re: Interest in a Vampire:Dark ages game

They reedited/reprinted a bunch of Old World Of Darkness games as 20th Anniversary version, I'm guessing he's asking if you want to use that or the actual old Dark Ages Vampires book. I'm also curious about that, actually.

As for the PC games, you can get Bloodlines on steam, though I highly recommend the Unofficial Patch for a load of big fixes and things like that. Good times.

Shhhh!

Didn't you know that every time you mention Bloodlines, someone has to go and play it again?!  :)

Ahhh, well, familiarity has me defaulting too the original...  A bit of an anachronism I guess.

Re: Interest in a Vampire:Dark ages game

The 20th anniversary rules fixed a lot of the mechanical problems of the previous versions and made game play a bit more stream-lined and easier for new players to grasp.

 Color me somewhat interested.

I will have to get a good look at them and make sure the module is modified in the future.

For now, I'll stick with the original.

Yes guys, the vampire dark ages lore will help

If you are familiar with the giovanni chronicles, I'm going to leave those in the timeline - Capadoccious has just be diabolirised by Augustus Givoanni  The camarilla has just been formed under the leadership of Hardestat.  only a few months ago.

so a little history of the camarilla might help.

Anything of cannon on spain may be suspect however.  We took a lot of liberties there.

I've been diablorized? Dammit...
I mean okay, sounds cool.
So very new camarilla, then.
Where does that leave the Tremere again?
And what "side" would you have us play?

Tremere diablarized Saulot in the mid 1100's and if the Camarilla is just formed they are part of that as well.

First Anarch Revolt ends in 93' with the Convention of Thorns so...

Color me interested.  Really this time of the world in that area of the world you could go in any direction at all.

I know rite?  just minding your own business then schlurrp!  ;)

yes, new

The tremere are fairly new as a clan, but the hunt on the salubri has been quite successful, there are very few of that bloodline left.

As to 'Side' it might be easier if you were sympathetic too the new camarilla, but I don't think that is required.  Your characters will be summoned by name, and so hardestat may have to call in a boon or owe a boon too someone above you, not a big deal for me to tie up.

Okay

I think there is enough interest to put the game together.  Will have to do that soon.

In reply to Topsy (msg # 21):

Are you strictly looking for Camarillo Clans or could with the right background you go for say an Irish Assamite? Just curious. Always liked the Dark Ages for Vampire it seemed more appropriate to me for some reason.

Also the Game that Must Not Be Named looked pretty boss. Never got to play, but a friend of mine had it.

Re: Interest in a Vampire:Dark ages game

Well this is a roundup of what they mentioned earlier.  Spain with both of those things from what I gather in their posts.

Of course...

They mentioned putting the game together almost a month ago and at least so far they have not created it or started official recruiting anyone into it.

So make of that what you will.
