IC: D&D 3.5 Epic one-shot adventure

I'd like to GM a few cinematic battles and scenes with epic level characters. I would prefer not using psionics (just because I don't know it well) or using the Bo9S, but anything else would fly.

It would be a quick leveling (so lots bookkeeping) XP system where I'd be throwing epic level threats at the party.

The concept is that seven heroes from different worlds each encountered Sigil, and were Compelled (Super-divine Geased) by the Lady of Pain. Tyr is dead in Faerun, meanwhile Nerull killed (no rejuvenation) the entire pantheon of gnome gods. So a new deity position is opening. Archfiends are already in contention for the position and the Lady of Pain wants to decide if another mortal will be elevated, like Vecna was, or if a immortal should get the position. Ultimately any contenders will be victorious, or eliminated. There is no room for mutual opposition in the Lady of Pain's decree. So either the heroes, or the denizens of the lower planes will endure. Not both.

The first scene has those heroes (or anti-heroes) descending from the fiery sky of Hell upon a skyship of damned souls to the Archfiend Fierna. Motivations TBA upon character concept. Results unclear. Maybe the souls could be saved and resurrected to become followers or petioners. Maybe the entire ship is destroyed, leaving the souls to plummet to the magma river, while the heroes fight the fiends in mid-flight.

The end goal would be to elevate each PC to a demi-god status (like 40th level IIRC plus the demi-god template) with divine powers decided not by what the player hopes, but by how the character's nature has dictated through play.

If the story concluded, which who am I kidding, I'll be happy if we keep a player base for a calendar year; we can talk about a successive campaign with the PCs as demi-gods.

I'm thinking a total of sixteen to twenty four encounters grossly skewed by EL, until the PCs reach Deity-hood. Each will likely have a mix of fodder, average threats and overwhelming threats requiring the PCs to think outside the box or have superior planning.

Crunch (as some people call it) would be 24th level epic minimum with a free 100,000 XP to further build the character, including LA, epic spells, crafting, non-epic spells with XP components, or just the XP's worth in additional levels.

Above a average bookkeeping is required for this game. There will be an eight post rewind maximum. So if we don't catch the fact your character had anticipate teleportation up, and a bunch of fiends have already teleported in and other PCs have reacted. Your anticipate teleportation just didn't work. OOG because rewinding is nightmare. IG because the Lady of Pain allowed it on a whim.  This means immediate actions are pretty much rubbish unless you're a quick poster.

We will level every one to three encounters, sometimes just skipping certain common dead levels in favor of keeping the momentum of growth going.

The aim is cinematic epic scenes and the fulfillment of the PCs becoming gods, or failing. Dropouts will reduce the party size and have a death scene promptly incorporated. Players can preordain their death scene if they feel like going out with a certain flare. Absent players will likely just zone out, missing the XP in long absences, or just zoning out for short absences.

If there are any questions, let me know. This is an idea for now. It would require a fair amount of work for very short play time. So I'd like to know if there is even some interest.
