This is not for pitching world-building ideas, that happens in-game, rather I want to ask about interest in a game of Uncharted Worlds - powered by the apocalypse.

For those who don't know anything about it, it's a story and character driven game set in as big a world as we'd like.

It's also my first time GMing the system, so I'll just ask everyone to bear with me on the particulars, I'll improve as we go, this won't be my first time GMing though so I don't expect it to be extremely slow going in that regard.

Interesting things happen when the GM asks the player who just jumped out of hyperspace next to your ship...

As per usual with this kind of game, there has to be some seriousness taken with the material which we will essentially create as we start playing, I'm a firm believer in keeping our own cannon and taking it seriously enough to maintain the narrative and immersion. So I'd prefer people who know what metagaming is and why it's not a good thing.

That said, I'm looking for four or five people who are strongly interested(please say so!), who can maintain a regular posting rate so that character creation doesn't take a month and situations won't resolve within two weeks. Things come up, that's fine, but please have the courtesy to say so.

Anyways, outside of those two requirements, who's game for this???

This sounds awesome! I love Powered by the Apocalypse games. I do not have this particular one but I am looking to change that.

It's definitely worth the $10 dollars, but if you're short on cash, you don't need it to play. I have the free legal pdf character templates and I can put up guides to help people.

Also, if we get going, keep in mind some ideas of what sort of setting you'd like to see, we'll want to talk about that almost first thing. Here's a few options to consider:

-Flavor: What sort of flavor do you want to see in our game? Extremely realistic, Magic-in-Space, Space Opera, Lots of alien species or only a few?

-Do we want to own a space ship? Should it be just ours (smallish, Millennium Falcon) or a navy vessel type of crew (large, Enterprise)?

You don't need to answer these but they will be relevant when we start, and each of you will need to have an answer. We can vote or compromise on setting logistics.

I haven't played Uncharted Worlds before.  Is the setting based upon a future Earth-based universe, or a completely alternate universe?  :o

It is a 100% player/GM created setting, the focus is the story narrative and the player characters as heroes in a scifi setting.

So to answer your question, both yes and no. I hope you join Oakmaster, I think you'd have a great time being a jedi. ^_^

Thank you for posting your interest, I think I was in a game of UW you ran once! I'll wait until Monday to see if anyone else is interested in this and decide to go from there or not.

Just picked up my copy of Uncharted Worlds! Made me even more excited for this game!

Ok, so we actually have lots of interest, more than I thought I'd get actually, even had a few people mail me. So what I'll have to do is post a link here and based on your answers to the questions in the RtJ post I'll pick which ones seem to match up the best for the most cohesive story. So consider what you want out of the game and just answer in a style that helps that to happen. From there I'll pick my top five. It's not ideal I know, but I can't handle more than about that many, six max.

Thank you everyone who posted interest, I will give those peeps who do not make it into this game preference if I decide to run another game. Which is very possible depending on how this one gets started. Thank you all very much for posting here again.

I should note that these questions were going to be in the game regardless of whether or not this had to take place as part of the world building process.
