Interest Check: Unknown Armies 3rd Edition

I backed the UA3 Kickstarter, and I'm keen to get to playing it, so I figured I'd ask if anyone else backed the game. Is there any love for Unknown Armies on RPOL?
I'd be tempted to base the game in London, purely because that's a city I'm familiar with, but I'm open to suggestions.

What sort of things would people want to get up to in the world of Postmodern Magik? For me, UA shines at the bottom end, with people just becoming aware of the weirdness that surrounds them.

I agree in that low level/street level is particularly good yeah. There was a pretty cool Unknown Armies game I was in on this site before, but unfortunately it kind of fell apart. I would love to see the new mechanics though! I'm also a backer, although I'm still waiting for my books of course.

Did you get your hands on the alpha version of the books? There's no formatting, but the text is all there (in a preliminary form, at least).

Hm...did they send that out yet? I'm pretty sure I paid at a tier that would get that (the $150 tier), but I don't remember if they sent it out. Was it very recent?

Definitely interested.

I also think street/low level is the best one.

London is cool, always wanted to se a UA game in there. :)

Gamma Draft has been out since day one of the campaign. Just checked and the link on update 1 is still there and working. :)

Do you think more people would be more into it if I ran a game in 2nd edition?

Don't know. I think it would not matter.

Unfortunately UA doesn't seem to be well known here. Maybe if you advertise on the G+ community or something.

I've been in two UA games here, one died soon, the other had only me as a player and didn't even started.

Huh. That's a shame. Why d'you think that is? Just because the setting is a bit too weird?

Don't know. I think most people don't see the 'gameable' side of the setting.

Hell, even I, an avid fan all the way back to 1st edition, feel intimidated by the setting. :)

The new rules are amazing and I'd give it a go myself if I had more time.
