Zombie Apocalypse game

I'm curious if anyone is interested in an Apocalypse World game tooled for a Living Dead setting. The game would have some collaberative ellements that I'd like to try. TThe core game mechanic would be Apocalypse World. Each playbook would be retooled minorly to fit the game.

Basic Concept of the game:
The game is played in a series of scenes. Each scene helps us learn something new about the world and characters. Every scene has a "director" that sets the scene up. I'll do the first scene to show you how it goes.

After we play out t he first scene, I'll select a player to decide what the next scene should be. That player will select two or three of the PCs theyd like to see play out a scene as well as what the conditions of the scene are. Like; "Bobby and Jean are out on a scavenging run when they run into a new group of survivors. What happens when one of the new guys pulls a gun on Bobby at their introduction?" The director can not have a PC in the scene, but they can run their secondary character. The red-shirt, if you will.

When we've found out what happens, to our satisfaction, we conclude the scene and the next person goes. Ideally, they kind of build on the scene prior.

I'd like the "Director" of each scene to feel pretty empowered to work things like a GM. I'd still retain the GM role to keep things pointed in the right direction.

EDIT: to be clear, the "director" is more like a visiting or guest director. They've got creative input and marginal control, but I'd still be posting and running things in the game thread. "Directors" would shape the narrative by posing questions and making suggestions in the OOC thread and to me by pm etc.

EDIT II
Starting Options
Something I saw in the Durance RPG that I liked was the concept of cooperative world building. I won't go into the way Durance does it but here's what I'm thinking:

I've got a point to start the game - a few days after the apocalypse starts. What I'd like to explore are the starting conditions for the PC's. Keeping with Apoc World's Universal Scarcity idea, I'd have each player chooose an option from the "Up a Creek" list. It would look something like this:

Each player chooses one one option to cross off the chart. But you can only cross off option A or option B. After each player chooses one, the next player on the list picks and so on until one of each remains.

UP A CREEK
Medical Supplies option A, but with this condition OR Medical Supplies option B, but with this condition
Food Supply option A, but with this condition OR Food Supply option B, but with this condition
ETC
ETC
ETC

When the game started we'd know what kind of creek we were up and how badly we needed the paddle.A great starting point for the game.
Thoughts?

It would be cool to do IF you could keep the players active to keep the scense going. Like a new gm every game with the same characters (minus the "directors" character.)

It is a good idea mainly because everyone would have a turn to play, and not be stuck as the gm constantly.

I think the 'keeping players active' issue is something all games face :)

I made an Edit to the original post azule; to clarify what I meant for the directors to do. Maybe that's not a great term to use. hmm.. Anyway, the main purpose of the director is to increase each player's buy in as they help shape the world and scene development. Thus, alleviating my work load some (theoretically).

With the lack of Interest or replies, I'm closing this idea off for a bit.
