Hilarious Parody of Children's Card Game game

Have you watched Yi-Gi-Oh or Pokemon? Have you watched LittleKuriboh's 'Abridged' series of Yu-Gi-Oh? Isn't it hilarious?

What I want to do is create a game in which every player is a player of a silly children's card game that is for some reason taken super seriously. It would be like a professional wrestling game except your gimmicks are embodied in your card decks.

For instance, you might have your cards all be Dog themed, with powers increased from bones and walkies. They are weak to baths and newspapers.

This would not be a serious game. We would be making up rules with nearly every turn, and your deck would often include impromptu cards that you make up as you need them because it's the 'heart of the cards.'

We would probably be using modified FATE rules, with a lot of skills and other elements being replaced with Aspects. I will work on the rules if there is a good response to this post.

We need players who are good sports about silliness and cooperative writing. You're going to need to work together to create a completely unbalanced game where most of you end up looking like dorks.

I haven't played it yet, but I think the new board game Millennium Blades uses this idea (The playing as a character from something like the Yu-gi-oh show, not the making up rules on the spot)

This sounds fascinating. If you ever put together a game like this, let me know!
