So I have more free time now that my finals are over(woohoo!!!), and I'm getting my games I neglected back up to full speed again and figured I'd get some ideas out there about games I'll willing to run.

1) SciFi Horror. So think monsters, limited resources, gore, death everywhere, PC's being quite likely to die, insanity, team work, consequences of decisions, overwhelming odds, doom, yea. Think like Dead Space. Mixed with Starship Troopers maybe.
System: Either my homebrewed system I'm developing, or d20. Others I may consider are like Savage Worlds, GURPS, or Call of Cthulu. Maybe FATE. Maybe.

2) Cops. This would be a huge game. Players could be routine cops, detectives, SWAT, etc. No specific setting, maybe NY or Chicago? Acually maybe fictionsl? Probably better that way. It wouldn't be overly realistic though, since real cop life is boring. Expect shootouts, bank heists, raids, cases, etc.

System: I have the GURPS cops book, so maybe that. Or d20. Or Savage Worlds. Just depends.

3) Okay, so this idea is really in its early development stages and I'm VERY hesitant to try it out. But I've always thought a prison game could be interesting. It would be focused on Drama and RP more than action, but I would likely use a system. Again though, I can see this getting stale/boring fast so I'm unsure. I just wonder people think.


All of the games would be ADULT, save maybe the cops one. But yea, interest?

I wouldn't mind Sci-Fi horror with your system.

Mongoose Traveller has an Adventure: Prison Planet.  Multiple threads/plots and events in it.

Of the three, the Cops game seems like the most fun (and least redundant) of the three. Would some players take on the role of the criminals, or would those characters be NPCs?

Um, well I suppose players could be criminals! Have players choose to be a cop, criminal, and then maybe something in between. Aka Vigilante, informant, or just civilian.

I like the idea of GURPS cops n robbers.

Or, like GURPS Gotham. Leave Batman as a shadowy NPC who seldom appears but has a huge impact.
