Superhero Team-up

So this might be a little ambitious but I want to attempt something in the vein of the Avengers or the Defenders in the MCU.  The idea is that for the first story arc or so each player would be primarily solo, giving everyone to flesh out their characters in play before the teamup happens.

I Am thinking about running such a game using GURPS 4E or Mutants and Masterminds 3E.  I am waiting to flesh out all the details because I would like the players to be a part in shaping the world from the ground up.

I don't know how to play Gurps and hate Mutants & Masterminds. Otherwise, I could be interested.

I am in a Marvel Heroes Unlimited (Heroes Unlimited 2nd edition) game so if that system can handle it, I would think most any could.  If turns out to be HU 2nd, I'm game.

I think that'd be awesome, and I'd likely be down to play it.

Honestly, I'm not too sure. Rifts is terrible, but I'm pretty familiar with Heroes Unlimited. Marvel Heroic also looks like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, but group never played supers games, so I'm not really familiar with what's out there.

I would be interested if you went with GURPS.

In my personal opinion the Fuzion system is the most versatile and best system for superheroes.

If you go with M&M 3e then I'm game. The only other system I know is the Classic Marvel Superheroes Game(FASERIP).

I'd be keen for this if it gets off the ground...I'm down with M&M 3e and I'd learn other rules if need be.

In reply to Underdog (msg # 1):

Very interested in this using either GURPS or M&M. Question though: are you allowing all available supplements for each system (GURPS Powers/Psionics/High-Tech/ect. or the M&M Power Profiles)?

Definitely Allowing High tech, and Powers for GURPS,  and probably Psionic since it is just an application of the underlying advantage driven system.  I probably wouldn't want things not based on that like some of the magic systems

I don't have power profiles for M&M but I assume it is just preworked powers using the existing rules
