VTR: 2nd Edition

I am looking to run a Vampire:Requiem game. It would have several important focuses.

*The Scarcity of Blood. Hunting will be important versus a side note

*Covenants made of Player characters. The Covenants having defined goals and aspirations.

*Well defined Kindred and Mortal NPC's

*A balance between Intrigue, horror and action.

The setting I am thinking should be created by the players. We as a group would determine many aspects of our fictional town. Often, I find players are lost in city settings they have little knowledge of. I am hoping that the players would hope develop this city.

If players would like an action city. I would consider a few. At the top of list is Anchorage Alaska.

I would love to see at least 3 characters per covenant, and 3 of the five covenants active.

If interested... Please leave a comment.

Otherwise, would just be interested in the default of Anchorage though I'm not adverse to a player made location.

Re: VTR: 2nd Edition

The issue with player-created settings is that collaborative world-building is slow, clumsy, and kills game momentum. You can speed it up some by application of main force...maybe take, say, your first five players, give them each a fifth of the city with a few keywords and an associated Covenant at random, and give them a very short (one day, two at the outset) deadline to describe that quarter, then start running the game.

Anchorage, Alaska would be fun, too.

Re: VTR: 2nd Edition

This sounds quite fun. I just dunno what kind of character I'd end up making.

Are we starting as powerful Kindred? I sortof got that impression, but I guess we could still make the Covenants and the city without being in any IC control of any of it

Re: VTR: 2nd Edition

Sorting setting is probably the first step since if we're having a say in it or not kind of defines anything that can be done and more than a little of the tone. That's better discussed on a proper game forum though.
