IC:Altus Adventum game

Altus Adventum is another system I have found that seems interesting. I'd like to run either a low (1st or 2nd) or something more bumped up like 5-7th.

This system has a percentile skill system, martail arts, and various magic types (including Mental-psionic type magics, Rune magic which seems more free flowing, and Totem magic- which is very shamanistic in nature).

The setting laid down in the book seems to include eastern-type lands as well as classic fantasy realms.

Re: IC:Altus Adventum game

I have a PDF of the rules.  I would be willing to give it a try.  I prefer to start with 1st level PCs.

Re: IC:Altus Adventum game

gonna pop back in and ask if anyone else is interested in this.

Also, I feel I need to propose some kind of idea on what will be going on, so I will present a few ideas I have had banging around in my head for some time.

1. Holy Trickster- I will model an NPC after a 'Temple Raider of Olidimarra'. For the last decade or so a nation of Orcs have been developing on the boarders of the Great Kingdom. This holy man has found that an ancient Orcan artifact is about to be unearthed- and with this power he's certain they will look to conquer others. Simply put- the group is to sneak into the Orcan lands, find the artifact, and steal it away from the Orcs.
Trouble with this- this is meant more for high level adventurers- in which case I would run a few adventures from their early days, with hints about what's to come in the game, and fast-forward the game once or twice.

2. Reclaiming borderlands is a module I have gotten hold of, and the idea is while heroes are cave crawling and trying to take the area other 'factions' are doing the same. It is a series of caves that you crawl through in the normal fashion of DND. The idea is the rooms are not set up as-is, allowing me to put it together as I feel at the time, and the other groups (races- such as goblins, ogres, etc) are also doing things in a way that is recorded and determined simply by the DM as the heroes do their thing. There is even options for hiring some of these monster/mercenaries as the time goes on.

3. Building an Empire- simply you start out at an outpost in territory that is not developed. There will be options to not only advance heroes by exploration and exploits, but to develop ties with local peoples and build up the outpost into a true seat of power for the party. This kind of thing will also involve uncovering treasures and such that will grant them more money to make their home better, thus there will be times when nothing happens for months- as shipments are received and work is done on the area and surrounding lands.

Anyway... holler if your interested and let me know what you think about the proposed ideas and if you have any of your own. Overall though I'd like to mention that I agree with TheSnowpanther in that I think it would be best to start out as low level.
