A different colour of  'Werewolf: The Forsaken'.

Heya!

Of all the nWoD stuff ever produced, my favorite setting still has to be Werewolf: The Forsaken.  I have tried, several times, to keep packs going through the fist scene of a game on RPOL but found myself constantly stymied by player-drop (a natural thing here) and by a bloated system that does not work as well on a forum game (though hardly as bloated as Exalted).  You can probably hear my wistful sighs through the screen now, if you listen hard enough.

But wait!

I have had success in using a fast and sane set of rules called Wushu.  These rules resolve conflicts in 5 or 6 posts with dramatic violence and vicious mind games all covered quite easily.  Converting the system from WoD to Wushu isn't too difficult, and a character can be built in as little as 20 minutes with a bit of thought.  The system rewards good description and allows some poetic license on the part of the players... In short, the Wushu system is much more suited to forum gaming.

In addition, to render the possibility of player-drop halting the game in its tracks as a pack tries to deal with a situation, I have a narrative that will allow for a pack of 'lone wolves' operating under a single Totem! In game terms, this means single and duo threads, with interaction between characters as the narrative dictates, not the need to deal with everyone all in one thread.

I'd like to run an ADULT rated game because of the mature themes and obvious focus on violence and trans-humanism. The focus initially for the pack of loners would be their shared territory, the imbalances therein, and the need to repair a wound while also dealing with some sort of rogue spirit and less than friendly neighbors. Focusing predominantly on the idea that the game is one of Horror, investigation and solving mysteries would form as much a part of this as ripping people into handy chunk-sized bits or leaping from car to car in a ragged race to the hospital with you wounded buddy in your arms.

I guess, I am asking if there would be an interest in this.  I'd be looking initially for three or four players at most, and I wouldn't be taking duplicates of an auspice.  Players would take the role of Uratha that had had time to join a tribe and such.

So, would there be any interest?
Does anyone have any suggestions to ensure the game is successful?

I look forward to hearing from at least a couple of people! Please!

Always wanted to play a Werewolf game. I own the Forsaken book but would be interested to hear this Wushu style of gaming.
