David and Leigh Eddings?

Is anyone familiar with their work?  I would love to try a game in one of their worlds, I was thinking Belgariad and Mallorean or Elenian and Tamuli series.

Re: David and Leigh Eddings?

I'd play in a Belgariad/Mallorean game.Well; I'd play in the world, I'd prefer set in the past before the Belgariad, as the events of that just change the world so much. Don't know the other series as well.

Yeah, I was thinking before or even after.  for either world.

Re: David and Leigh Eddings?

Sounds interesting.  What system would you be using?

Re: David and Leigh Eddings?

Games in either setting would be very welcome.  Pre-book campaigns that have nothing to do with the Book plots would be preferred.

Pre-book for Mallorean/Belgariad for sure. Afterwards I don't think works very well.

And yeah, come to think of it, system makes a difference.

Re: David and Leigh Eddings?

I'm only experienced in Free-Form.  However, I'm certainly open to suggestions on what everyone thinks would work better.  I think, considering the nature of the worlds, it'd be a good idea to limit what folks can do in terms of power usage.

I don't like pure free-form; but I think something more skill-based would work better than class/level I suspect.

Not sure what to suggest; as my expertise is in DnD of various iterations.

Dragon Age is pretty basic.

Re: David and Leigh Eddings?

I'll definitely need links and explanations for game systems.  If I gain enough interest for this, I'll be implementing a system that is NOT free-form.  A) I think the worlds need an actual system, and B) I wanna try something new :)  so all suggestions and explanations/help I can get with systems are more than welcome ^_^
