V20 semi-sandbox

I am considering starting up a new game that would focus on a small group of vampires, possibly of ancilla age, and their times and tribulations.  I like to create my own political structures for vampire games, so I would pick a large city and design the kindred population myself.

The game would require players who are willing to work in a coterie, but also willing to put forth short, mid, and long term goals for their characters that can be pursued individually, and as a group.  I would like the game to focus a lot on the interaction of vampire and human, so the game would have a lot of "random encounters" that throw the players into unusual or difficult situations, but there would likely not be a large meta-plot, at least not initially.

the main requirement would be players dedicated to the game, that can post fairly frequently (preferably once a day), that can push the story forward, and can give me good goals for their players to pursue.

let me know if this might interest you.

I would be interested in this, with a slight preference for Sabbat over a Camarilla city.

Re: V20 semi-sandbox

I am interested, particularly in the idea of focusing on vampire-human interactions (something that gets short shrift in a lot of games). I will say, though, that that focus seems to me to push in the direction of a neonate or older neonate game; ancillae have probably developed habits and fallback plans for their dealings with humans already, and are more focused on other vampires, or (if in the Camarilla) on building power structures in the mortal world to use against other vampires.

Re: V20 semi-sandbox

that's actually why I would lean toward ancilla, or possibly older neonate if you want to be more specific.  I want a game that allows for goals dealing with humanity and with vampire society, and new neonates are simply incapable of that.  And because of the way games tend to work on rpol, it isn't realistic to start as neonates and hope that players will be around long enough to get more heavily enmeshed in politics.

As slightly older characters, players can have goals like trying to become a hound for the sheriff, or even higher political position, or staking out a domain in the city, while also dealing with the fact that the next door neighbors of their haven are throwing parties loud enough to draw police attention, which threatens their safety.

I am possibly leaning toward a city that either is in the midst of a sect cold war, or at the tail end of one, allowing for a more diverse, and more politically unstable, environment for the players.  Which could pushy ancilla out of many of the comfort zones they may have developed.
