Play as a crewmember on a longship of raiders, scavengers and thrill-seekers in a fusion of space opera and Norse mythology. Fight off giant invaders as the Jotunn return from their millenia long cryo-sleep, discover hidden colonies of Alfar and Dvergr and hunt for relics in the collosal wrecks of the ships of the Aesir and Vanir. If all of that's a bit too much for a crew like yours, there's always peaceful and rich worlds to plunder in the more civilized regions with shield, axe and rifle.

I've fleshed out a lot of concepts for the universe and lore, as well as a preliminary storyline. My main GM experience is in free-form but I'm thinking that a system may be necessary to handle the more complex components of something like this.

I'm a huge Fate (core and accelerated) fan, so doubly-interested if you go that route.

I'm not overly familiar with Fate Core, but I'm reading up on it now. Seems like a good route to go down, I'll keep people posted as I work stuff out.
