TMNT: Those Who Are Not Turtles

I've been thinking of a TMNT-verse game in which the original mutations take place in 1969 and follow the 1987 cartoon's premise (where mutations are tied to the recency of animal/human proximity). I probably won't include anything mystic like Venus de Milo or any transmutations that aren't explained like Mona Lisa. Or anything from 2003+ in the animated series.

I'm not sure how I want to go about the alien business. Krang is canonically an alien disembodied brain (or Utrom in some cases), but I may tweak that. I have a slight preferential leaning toward a man-made mutagen, and having everything stem from that. It's kind of a work in progress though, I'll expand on the idea as interest or suggestions arise.

Re: TMNT: Those Who Are Not Turtles

Forgot to mention, it'll be 2015 in the game. I will probably have some of the turtles dead (being that they'd be 45-46). Probably as a result of a mission to stop mutagen being released into the water supply of NYC. That mission will have failed, resulting in en masse transmutations and animal hybrids becoming well known over the last year.

The surviving Ninja Turtles could feasibly open up a dojo (although that may still be private), probably in an abandoned pizzaria.

Please tell me that this will use TMNT and Other Strangeness for the system? Even if not I will gladly play a mutant animal in that 'verse.

Re: TMNT: Those Who Are Not Turtles

Actually I was thinking on using BESM 3 at mythical levels(that was supposed to be in the title but somehow it slipped). I've looked at some palladium stuff, TMNTaOS included and I just don't like it as much as BESM.

Anywho, you get the idea that the (surviving) turtles are NPCs. Leo and Raph seem the most likely to risk their lives in the contamination incident discussed in msg #2, which also seems like it could hit Mikey pretty hard and he could feasibly get more serious than he would otherwise be in canon.

I will say I like the idea of allowing BESM's Attributes to determine your animal half rather than creating animal templates is very appealing to me.
