IC: C&C Tiberium universe game

I've recently gotten back into the C&C games and I just thought how cool it would be to see a game in the C&C Tiberium/Tiberian universe.

There are a lot of ways a game like this could go, some of them based on my own head-canon C&C stories mixed in with elements from older or cancelled C&C games or we could go for something right bang in the middle of one of the Tiberium Wars.

We could go as GDI force, a Nod cell or even Forgotten clan. Things could be mission based for GDI and Nod or more focused on surviving in a world slowly becoming less and less hospitable for humans for any of them. If interest is high enough we could have players of different factions sometimes going up in missions against each other. We don't even have to be one of the militant factions, the RP could be just focused around a small Yellow Zone community surviving in the wastes. I have a number of narrative ideas for any of those scenarios. Depending on interest we can do anything you want.

My only hang up so far is whether to have it completely freeform or do some sort of rules light system. I have little experience in any rules based system so I'd either need a Co-GM for that or a really easy to understand system.

So, is anyone interested in this?

Traveller rules lend themselves well to this series.

I would like to play as a member of NOD. Hail Kain!

Re: IC: C&C Tiberium universe game

I'm juggling whether to make the game based on factions or simply about people with differing allegiances in one community. What would people prefer, a standard mission based RP around one faction (probably Nod) or a more survival based caught-in-the-middle sort of game?

Normal people in the yellow zone could be fun.

Tiberian Sun maybe mission based. Maybe as a commando team rather than an infantry unit.

I like the commando concept.

Possible interest, depending on what happens next week.

I loved C&C for the Nintendo 64, and I've recently gotten into the newer games. I'm game for whatever you want to run.

Re: IC: C&C Tiberium universe game

Okay, what I've mocked up so far is the 'people in a Yellow Zone' idea.

You play people of the settlement of Haven in one of the American Yellow Zones (still working on which one to base it in). Haven was built around 15 years ago by a Yellow Zone leader who wished to create a sanctuary for those who wanted to find some escape from the violence and factionalism of life in this new world and is a good distance from the nearest population centers.

Gameplay will involve missions to improve life in town, keeping everything held together in a somewhat literal sense, fending off or dealing with threats and walking the line between the two superpowers. These missions will be interspersed with general life in a YZ settlement, with smaller events for people who aren't involved in the missions or would prefer some downtime.

This is a checklist of roles people would be willing to play. Those marked with a '*' are deemed to be crucial for me to start to develop this, those that aren't I can fill with NPCs pretty easily:

Important Roles (at least at the start):

Haven's Mayor* - Stepping into the void left by the death of the first mayor.
Sherrif* - Haven's second in command and leader of the militia.
Chief Doctor - Keeping everyone alive.
Chief Engineer - Keeping the settlement and its delicate tech from falling apart.

Militia members - Those willing to fight to defend the settlement and possibly go beyond on missions. This could be your only job or one you fill when the call goes out.

Others - Engineers, medics, hydroponics farmers, Nod cultists, GDI moles etc. Anyone who can add to the world.

Depending on who would be interested in playing what I'll adapt the game to best suit everyone.

EDIT: My lack of experience with this forum is showing since I've just been informed that character calling is forbidden in the interest subforum. Apologies to mods for breaking the rules and apologies to those interested for their posts being deleted on my account. I'll develop things further and post a thread in the players wanted section.
